Dr. Soudi completed her PhD in Physics at Washington State University and then moved to Montreal to do postdoctoral research at Énergie, Matériaux et Télécommunications centre at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS-EMT). Her academic profile includes two patents and over a dozen peer-review publications.
In addition to her academic experience, Dr. Soudi has leadership experience in tech-based entrepreneurship. As co-founder and VP of R&D of IRYStec in Montreal, she incubated her company within TandemLaunch and the Creative Destruction Lab and secured both MITACS and NSERC grants to grow the business. An award-winning software company that grew to include 30 employees, IRYStec was acquired by Faurecia, a global leader in automotive technology.
