Dr. Aliaa Alnaggar’s research spans a range of economic sectors, focusing on the sharing economy, retail and healthcare. Currently, she is working on an application that will make it easier for hospital networks to distribute their limited resources while balancing important variables such as fair access to care across different geographic regions. Applying mathematical optimization and probability theory, Dr. Alnaggar’s research informs new tools, algorithms and policies that enable organizations to make optimal decisions when facing perplexity.
Dr. Alnaggar earned a BSc degree from Kuwait University and a MASc and PhD from the University of Waterloo. She was then a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto / Rotman School of Management.
