The Gupta lab, located at Toronto Metropolitan (formerly Ryerson) at the MaRS Discovery District Research Facility, is focused on defining mechanisms of rare diseases, including but not limited to Cystic Fibrosis and Polycystic Kidney Disease. Our lab uses proximity-dependent proteomics and high-content microscopy to screen for critical protein associations that become affected upon mutation of a particular gene and when exposed to current front-line therapies. This lab has a longstanding interest and expertise in membrane trafficking, cytoskeletal organization, cell signalling, proximity proteomics, super-resolution microscopy and quantitative analyses. We are a passionate group of researchers with diverse educational backgrounds and are looking to expand our team.
