Bio/Research

If she had to choose one physics concept to describe her life and career, Ginette Turcotte would undoubtedly choose motion. “I love to be on the go,” she says.

That’s why, for Turcotte, chemical engineering was a perfect fit. “It gives you the basis to go into a number of different industries. Food, plastics, waste water, oil, acids. You can easily move from one to another.”

While she has worked, studied and taught all over central and eastern Canada, Turcotte has found her place at Ryerson. “We are constantly changing and growing here,” she says. “Toronto Metropolitan University keeps me on my toes.” She keeps her students on their toes too, ensuring her teaching materials are industry-relevant and engaging.
