Dr. Pringle has been with the School of Health Services Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) since 2004 when he began as a part-time instructor. From 2008-2010 he also served as the program manager. Dr. Pringle is currently an Assistant Professor (LTF).
Dr. Pringle’s academic preparation spans the fields of chiropractic medicine, higher education and business management. He received his MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University and his Doctor of Business Administration in Higher Education Management from Bath University in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Pringle comes with over 20 years of clinical experience as a Chiropractor working in multiple healthcare facilities and over 5 years of health policy experience as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Strategic Policy Planning and French Language Services Division of the Ministry of Health (MOH). He has also served as a reviewer for the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).
Dr. Pringle is a past recipient of a Futures Fellowship at a Health Strategy Cell at Massey College and is a recipient of an Achievement, Commitment and Excellence (ACE) Award at the MOHLTC in the Partner Relations Category for his work on the Value Demonstrating Initiative (VDI) on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Dr. Pringle has published on a wide range of topics in healthcare and higher education. His research has recently focused on exploring branding practices in public sector spaces including higher education, healthcare and government. He is currently a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals in both health and higher education sectors.
