A professor in the School of Disability Studies, Dr. Jennifer Mactavish has over two decades of experience in graduate education and administration, with a track record of supporting vibrant graduate program culture. She places tremendous value on collaboration, having created various networks and sustainable partnerships that fostered greater research and teaching synergies. A prolific writer and distinguished researcher, Dr. Mactavish’s numerous awards include the Community Living Manitoba President’s Award for Justice and Human Rights, the YMCA/YWCA Woman of Distinction Award, the University of Manitoba’s top award for outstanding outreach and the International Paralympic Scientific Achievement award for her research on the cognitive determinants of sport proficiency.
