Bio/Research

Dr. Louis-Etienne Dubois is an Associate Professor of creative industries management at Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Creative Industries, as well as Associate researcher at MINES ParisTech’s CGS and the National Circus School’s CRITAC. He holds a Ph.D. (Management) and M.Sc. (Organizational Development) from HEC Montréal, as well as a Doctorate (Gestion) from MINES ParisTech. Working closely with both for- and non-profit organizations, his research activities focus on emergent business opportunities and challenges, as well as on innovative management practices in the cultural and creative sector. Some of his recent work has been published in City, Culture and Society, Work Employment and Society, New Media and Society, Current Issues in Tourism, European Management Journal and Tourism Review. Over the years, Dr. Dubois has also consulted with a range of private and public organizations, including in advertising, arts and culture, entertainment, and aerospace, presented at many academic and industry conferences, as well as delivered executive education training.
