Before joining Toronto Metropolitan University in 2005, Martin Habekost worked in the printing ink manufacturing industry in Germany and in Canada for 10 years. Before being selected Chair of the School in July 2021/2022, Martin Habekost held various different roles at GCM from SRC coordinator to technology coordinator to Associate Chair. His involvement with various aspects of school and student life resulted in his being awarded the Dean’s Service award in 2020.
Martin’s research interests include colour measurement, the application of colour differencing equations, colour measurement of metallic inks, paper topography and its influence on print quality, and expanded gamut printing. He has published chapters in books, refereed journal articles, research papers in conference proceedings and articles for PrintAction magazine.
