Dr. Dionne is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Psychology. She holds an MA in Exercise and Health Science and a PhD in Psychology from York University. Dr. Dionne’s research focuses on body image in young women and the psychology of eating, with an interest in personality variables and other individual differences which can protect against, or predict, problems. She supervises MA and PhD students in both Clinical Psychology and Psychological Science.
Dr. Dionne has taught courses in body image, sport psychology and undergraduate statistics and is currently the undergraduate thesis coordinator for the Department of Psychology. In addition to her former leadership roles inside the Department of Psychology, including as Graduate Program Director, Dr. Dionne has long been involved in service around the university, including holding positions on the Senate, the Board of Governors and the Toronto Metropolitan Faculty Association.
