Bio/Research
Minna Hong's research interests relate to financial reporting and disclosure and their impact on capital markets, and audit quality. She obtained a BA (Honours) from the University of Toronto and her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation while working as an auditor in Toronto. Her PhD thesis examines how fair value accounting affects the financial reports’ ability to discipline managers’ voluntary disclosures and, thus, the timeliness of price discovery.
