Bio/Research
Dr. Ruzgar received BSc in Mathematics from Marmara University, Istanbul, MSc degree in Mathematics from Istanbul Technical University, and PhD in Quantitative Methods from Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Ruzgar earned Associate Professorship of Business in Quantitative Methods in 2006 from Higher Education Council in Turkey. Her areas of specialization include mathematical modeling, simulation, data mining, data analytics in business and education. She was at Cornell University, NY, USA for a one-year research in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. She worked for two years at Eroglu Manufacturing factory, and six years at Aktac Sport Manufacturing factory to improve their production performances by simulation. She published many papers in peer review journals and presented in numerous peer reviewed national and international conferences. She has co-authored a Quantitative Methods textbook which was adopted by many universities in Turkey.
Dr. Ruzgar is a Member of Mathematics Association, Operation Research Society, Informatics Association, Association of Econometrics and Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) - Data Science Laboratory.
