Opeyemi Akanbi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Professional Communication. She is also cross appointed to the Joint Graduate Program in Communication and Culture offered in partnership with York University. She is an interdisciplinary scholar with a background in law and communication. Her research interests include the regulation of digital work, privacy and the political economy of digital media. Her publications include articles in the International Journal of Communication and Yale Law Journal Forum.
