Richard Adams, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the School of Graphic Communications Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where he teaches premedia, layout & design, web design and eBooks courses. Adams was previously a colour technologist at instrument manufacturer X-Rite Inc. and a research scientist with the non-profit Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF, now part of the Specialty Graphics Imaging Association, SGIA). His research interests include the pedagogy of web design and development, open-source eBooks for education, colour management, and app development for iOS. He is the author of three OER eBooks, "Web Design Primer," "Digital Photography for Graphic Communications," and "Ebook on eBooks," available on the TMU Library's Pressbooks site (https://pressbooks.library.torontomu.ca/).
