Bio/Research
Dr. Zolfaghari received his Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa in 1997 and joined Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) in 1999. His primary research interest is productivity improvement of production, business and traffic/transportation operations through proper use of resources and optimization of operation conditions. Dr. Zolfaghari has a broad knowledge in the areas of simulation and computational intelligence. Other areas of his research include cellular manufacturing systems, supply chain management, traffic/transportation planning and scheduling. His research has been funded by several external agencies and companies that include: NSERC, GEOIDE, MMO, CITO, and WSIB.
