Shuguang Wang is a professor of Toronto Metropolitan University. His research interests and specialty are in the areas of business geography, spatial analysis, ethnic economy, immigration and settlement studies, and economic geography of China. He has supervised graduate students in the programs of Master of Spatial Analysis, Master of Immigration and Settlement Studies, and Ph.D. in Policy Studies. His current research projects include “examination of (potential) food deserts in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)”, and “political participation and representation of South Asian and Chinese Canadians, evidence from the GTA. In the 2021-2022 academic year, he teaches GEO772 Individual Research Paper, SA8912 Spatial Technologies in Strategic Planning, and GEO621 Advanced Location Analysis of Commercial Activity.
