Dr. Tuna Baskoy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration and a member of the Yeates School of Graduate Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). In addition to a PhD in Political Science from York University (completed in May 2006), Tuna holds a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Bilkent University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Middle East Technical University, both of which are located in Ankara, Turkey.
Tuna’s fields of research and teaching interests are research methods, statistics and computer applications, comparative public policy and administration with a special focus on competition/antitrust and telecommunication policies, theories of capitalist market competition, the political economy of European integration, e-government and e-democracy. He is currently completing a comparative study of extraterritorial enforcement of U.S. and E.U. competition/antitrust policies.
Tuna has been involved in the organizing committee of the 1st and 2nd International Conference on Social and Organizational Informatics and Cybernetics based in Orlando, Florida. A member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Economics and Sociology, Dr. Baskoy is also a member of the International Institute of Informatics and Systemics (IIIS), the European Community Studies Association-Canada (ECSA-C), and the Young Researchers Network – Canada (YRN).
