Andrea Moraes is a research associate of the Centre for Studies in Food Security at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Her research interests centre around food equity and food pedagogies.
She has taught at TMU since 2008, first at the Certificate in Food Security and later at the School of Nutrition. Moraes holds a PhD in rural sociology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MA in social psychology and a BA in psychology from the University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
