Michelle works at the intersection of theoretical computer science, graph theory and probability theory. She is the co-founder of the graph colouring conference at the University of Waterloo, known as WaterColor.
Michelle is also very active in community scientific outreach. She has founded, organized and raised funds to run various STEM initiatives for underserviced populations. She strongly advocates promoting mathematics to young women and other historically underrepresented minorities.
