Tatyana Terzopoulos is a Gemini award-winning creator, screenwriter, director and producer who brings 17 years of industry experience to her role as Assistant Professor in the RTA School of Media. Her research focuses on school-aged children’s and youth media literacy and media-making practices. She was awarded top-tier SSHRC grants including a distinction “in honour of Nelson Mandela” for her graduate research and has presented at international conferences such as the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) and the International Conference of Education, Research, and Innovation (ICERI). She is particularly interested in hybrid collaborations between industry and community and user-generated content creation as well as ensuring the school continues to advance its EDI agenda and remain a leader in industry discussions about how to advance diversity in television.
